An endangered animal Lojjaboti monkey was rescued in Baghaichhari municipality area in the hilly district last night.

Locals rescued the rare monkey at around 11 pm last night in the yard in a house at Muslim Block Emampara in the municipality.

Later, the monkey was handed over to the Forest Department through upazila Nirbahi Officer Shariful Islam.

Forest Department freed the Lojjaboti monkey at Pablakhali Wildlife Sanctuary, some 30 kilometers off Baghaichhari upazila this morning.
