Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested former MP of Laxmipur-1 constituency MA Awal in a case filed for killing a youth in Pallbi area in the capital.

Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Muhammad Khairul Islam, director of intelligence wing of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), confirmed the news.

On May 16, Shahin Uddin was hacked to death in front of his 7-year-old child in Pallabi area.

Later, his wife Aklima Beguma filed a murder case against 20 people including former MP of Luxmipur MA Awal.

Police arrested a person on the following day.
