Bangladesh archers received elimination in singles’ events

The country’s top archer Ruman Shana was eliminated from the men’s recurve individual event of the ongoing World Archery Championship stage two after he conceded a 2-6 setpoints defeat to Ellison Brady of USA in the third round (round of 16) at Lausanne in Switzerland on Wednesday.
Shana earlier received a bye to advance from the first round (round of 48) to the second round (round of 24) while he beat Mart Oona of Estonia by 6-0 set points in the second round.
In the women’s recurve singles, Diya Siddeki was eliminated after conceding a 3-7 set-point defeat to Inna Stepanova of Russia in the second round (round of 24). She earlier beat Nada Azzam of Egypt by 6-5 set points in the first round (round of 48).
Beauty conceded 4-6 set-point defeat to Yasemin Anagoz of Turkey here in the second round. She earlier beat Valentine De Giuli of Switzerland by 6-4 set points in the first round.  
In men’s compound singles, Asim Das conceded a 134-146 points defeat to Kowsar Seyed Hesameddin of Iran in the first round (round of 24).
Among others, Ram Krishna Saha, Tamimul Islam, Hakim Ahmed Rubel and Mehenaj Akter Monira were also eliminated after losing to their respective rivals in the day’s first round.
