Former superintendent of police Babul Akhter has given not given any statement in the much-talked-about killing of his wife Mahmuda Khanam Mitu.  

After the end of his 5-day remand, the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) produced him before the court of Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Sarwar Jahan on Monday (May 17) noon.

Assistant Commissioner (Prosecution) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Quazi Sahab Uddin confirmed the matter while talking to journalist.  

“After the end of a five-day remand, the PBI produced accused Babul Akhter before the court in a new case filed with Panchlaish Police Station in connection with Mitu killing. The court sent him to the jail after he made no confessional statement," Quazi Shahabuddin Ahmed.
