Some 26 more people have died of  coronavirus or Covid-19 infection in the country in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total death toll of the country stands at 12,102.

Besides, 848 more people in the country  have been diagnosed with the infection in the last 24 hours. 

A total of 7 lakh 79 thousand 535 people in Bangladesh so far infected with Covid-19 infection.

A press statement signed by Additional Director General of the Directortate General of Health Services (DGHS) Professor Dr Nasima Sultana disclosed this information on Friday afternoon. 

Meanwhile, the country on Thursday (May 13), witnessed 31 deaths and 1,290 infection due to coronavirus.
