Main Eid jamaat held at Baitul Mukarram

After a long month of fasting in Ramadan, the main jamaats (congregation) of the biggest religious festival of Muslims, Eid-ul-Fitr, was held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital on Friday morning.

The pilgrims performed Eid prayers maintaining social distance, following hygiene rules to prevent coronavirus infection. As a result, no one was seen shaking hands or hugging at the end of the prayers.

The first jamaat was held at 7am.

Devotees came from different parts of the capital to take part in the first jamaat of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Senior Imam of Baitul Mukarram Hafez Mufti Maulana Mizanur Rahman offered the congregation.

After that prayers, munajat were held for the welfare of the country and the nation.
