A Narayanganj court on Wednesday placed Mamunul Haque, joint general secretary of recently dissolved central committee of Hefajat-e Islam, on a 15-day remand in connection with five cases.

Narayanganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Ahmed Humayun Kabir passed the order when Mamunul was produced before the court virtually with a 38-day remand prayer.

Among the five cases, one was filed by a woman whom Mamunul claimed to be his second wife, on April 24.
