Navy distributes food items in Khulna, Bagerhat, Patuakhali

Members of Bangladesh Navy hand over a bag of food items to a poor woman at Mongla in Bagerhat on Sunday amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Bangladesh Navy has provided humanitarian assistance for poor and helpless people in Khulna, Bagerhat and Patuakhali amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

On Sunday, members of Navy distributed food aid among 600 poor families near Khulna Railway Station in Khulna under the supervision of Commander Khulna Naval Area.

Food aid was also distributed among 300 helpless families near Solam, a naval base in Labanchara in Khulna.

In addition, 330 unemployed and uprooted families in Jaymoni Jalepara and Mongla adjoining areas of Bagerhat have got food aids under the supervision of Commander Flotilla West.

Besides, BNS Mongla provided food aid for 200 helpless families in Mongla Ferry Ghat, Burirdanga and Chandpai areas. Sher-e-Bangla, a naval base in Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali, provided food aid for 200 families in Lalua union.

As aid, each family is given food items including rice, pulses, oil, flour, gram, salt, semai, sugar and cash for 10 days.
