Counter Terrorism & Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit  have arrested two people including an operative of the banned militant group Ansar al Islam.

Sakib, a member of the Ansar Al Islam, for his alleged involvement in a plot to carry out attack on Jatiya Sangshad Bhaban, was arrested from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area in the capital around 7:45 pm on Wednesday while Ali Hasan Osama, is known as "Banglar Osama" arrested from Rajbari district early hours of Thursday.

Saiful Islam, a deputy commissioner of DMP's Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit, confirmed the matter to media.
