Hefazat central committee dissolved, convening committee announced

Hefazat-e-Islam announced a five-member convening committee, hours after dissolving its central committee.

Nurul Islam Jihadi, Secretary General of the dissolved committee, announced the committee in a video message early Monday.

Muhibullah Babunagari was named the chief adviser of the convening committee.

Junaid Babunagari, who was amir of the dissolved committee, was named as the convener in the new committee.

Nurul Islam Jihadi announced himself as the member secretary of the convening committee.

Besides, Salah Uddin Nanupuri and Principal Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury were made members in the convening committee.

He also said that the five-member committee will soon announce the full convening committee of Hefazat-e-Islam.

Earlier, Junayed Babunagari in a video message from Hathazari Madrasa in Chattogram announced that Hefazat central committee has been dissolved.
