Eid Jammat likely to be in mosque

The government may impose ban on the Eid congregation in open space or in the Eidgah considering the coronavirus or Covid-19 situation of the country.

Like last year, there may be decision to hold Eid-ul-Fitr Jammat in the mosque following health regulations.

According to the Religious Affairs Ministry, the decision on Eid Jamaat, however, will be taken at a meeting on April 27 (Tuesday).

Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest festival of Muslims in the country, will be celebrated on May 13 or 14 subject to moon sighting.

On the day of Eid, Muslims perform 2 rakah prayers in the mosque or Eidgah in the morning.
