Bangladesh Cricket Board’s chief curator Sri Lankan Gamini de Silva tested corona positive, confirmed an official on Thursday.
“The chief curator was supposed to go to Sri Lanka on leave and that's why he had to attend a Covid-19 test. Thus he was found positive for coronavirus,” a BCB official from the board’s medical unit told The Daily Sun.“He is currently not going to Sri Lanka as he has to rest for 14 days for the treatment and quarantine process. If he tests negative in the second test after 14 days only then he can return to his work,” he added.
The second wave of the corona has taken a terrible form in Bangladesh, as the number of infected patients and death rate is increasing every day.
The first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine does offer a degree of protection, but it doesn’t necessarily mean a beneficiary would not be susceptible to the infection. After the second dose, clinical trials show, the body has a better chance of fighting the infection, The Indian Express reported.
