Indian PM Narendra Modi wraps up Bangladesh trip

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left Bangladesh for India wrapping up his two-day official visit.

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen and other senior officials saw him off at Hazarat Shahjalal International Airport around 9:30pm today.

Narenadra Modi came to Bangladesh on March 26, to join the grand celebration of birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's Independence.

During his stay in Bangladesh, the Indian premier held bilateral talks with his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina and met President Abdul Hamid.

Bangladesh and India on Saturday signed five Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) covering areas of bilateral cooperation to further enhance ties between the neighbouring nations.
