Journalist AZM Anas dies of heart attack

AZM Anas, Economic Editor at The Financial Express, died of heart attack around 8:00am at his residence in Dhanmondi of the capital on Tuesday.

Mr Anas (45) was a member of the Jatiya Press Club, and Economic Reporters' Forum (ERF).

He received Gold prize for the “Prince Albert II of Monaco and UNCA Awards for coverage of Climate Change” in 2019, the first Bangladeshi journalist to get such an honour.

Hailing from Hatia upazila of Noakhali, the talented journalist left behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.

ERF condoled the death of the noted journalist and prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul.
