A three-member University Grants Commission (UGC) probe committee has reached Rangpur to investigate allegations brought against Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah.

UGC member Prof Dr Biswajit Chandra will lead the probe committee. The other members include UGC senior assistant secretary Jamal Uddin and UGC member Prof Dr Abu Taher.

Sources informed that the probe committee has begun their works.
