Reigning champions Bashundhara Kings have taken a massive lead with eight points after the first-leg of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League football tournament.
Kings are now looking 'hot favourites' to retain the championship title.Kings are leading on the points table with 34 points from 12 matches. They won 11 matches and drew just one.
Kings’ only draw came with Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club,
who also remained unbeaten in the league with 26 points from 12 matches. Sheikh Jamal have stood second.
Kings, who have scored the highest 32 goals in the league so far, just conceded five goals, less number of goals conceded by a BPL team this year.
The league leaders hammered Dhaka Abahani Limited by 4-1 goals in their last league match of the first-leg at the Bangabandhu National Stadium last month.
