Bangladesh reported seven more deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours till Sunday 8am, taking the tally at 8,349.

Some 327 new cases of the novel coronavirus have also been found over the period, the total confirmed cases now stands at  543,351.

The information was released by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Sunday afternoon.

The death rate stands at 1.54%, infection rate is 2.33% of the total tests, though the country's overall rate till date was 13.76%.

Also, 475 patients were declared free of Covid-19 during the same period, raising the total number of recoveries to 4,91,367 with an 90.43% recovery rate.

Meanwhile, 14,036 samples were tested in 214 labs across the country in the past 24 hours. A total of 39,47,673 samples have been tested in the country so far.
