Restaurant fined Tk 10,000 in Cumilla

A mobile court of district administration in a daylong anti-adulteration drive fined a restaurant Taka 10,000 in the city this afternoon and destroyed huge adulterated foodstuffs for not maintaining hygiene rules.

A team of Police led by Executive Magistrate of District Administration Amit Datta conducted the drive at the Dawat restaurant in the city and found the foodstuffs in an unhygienic condition and selling the stale foods also.

“The fine has been imposed under the Consumer Rights Protection Act (CRPA),” Amit Datta said, adding that a district police team assisted in the operation.
