Popular actress Shamima Islam Tusti has  been inducted in the Central Cultural Affairs Sub-Committee of Bangladesh Awami League (AL). 

It is for the first time for Tusti to have got a post of central committee of the ruling party.
The busy TV actress has been affiliated with politics of Awami League for a long time. He also works with various social organisations.

Earlier, Tusti was the law and welfare secretary of the ‘Abhinoy Shilpi Sangha’, an organisation of TV drama artists. 

At the end of last year,a 64-member sub-committee was formed with prominent playwright Ataur Rahman its chairman and Ashim Kumar Ukil MP was member secretary.
