A Bangladesh Cricket Board official on Wednesday confirmed that Sri Lanka will tour Bangladesh in May to play a three-match one-day international series.
“Sri Lanka team will come in May to play three ODIs which is part of WC Super League,” BCB cricket operation chairman Akram Khan told reporters in Chattogram.
“We are expected to visit Sri Lanka earlier or later the series (for playing the Test series that was postponed earlier) but the date is yet to be finalised,” he added.
Bangladesh are scheduled to tour Zimbabwe in June-July for two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is but according to Akram, the tour is yet to be finalised.
“Zimbabwe series is yet to be confirmed but we will confirm it in a short time. We are thinking about our cricketers as well because it is very difficult to play continuously in the bio-bubble.
“It is a big pressure on them and we have kept that in mind. So we have to consider before confirming any tour,” he concluded.
