Two youths were killed after a covered van hit their motorcycle in Bhaberchar College road area under Gazaria upazila of Munshiganj early Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Md Nahid Ullah, 26, was a master's student of Mohammadpur Central College in Dhaka and Mahiuddin Polash, 27.
The Rangamati-bound covered van from Dhaka hit the motorcycle carrying the victims on Dhaka-Chattogram highway around 1:00 am, leaving them dead on the spot, said Md Salhuddin, in-charge of Gazaria Bhaberchar highway police outpost.
Police arrested the driver of the vehicle Al Amin but its helper fled the scene after the accident immediately, he said.
