Man killed as train hits human hauler in Pabna, 5 injured

A man was killed and five others injured after a train hit a brick-laden human hauler (locally known as Nasiman) in near Tantibanda station in Sujanagar upazila of Pabna on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Dabir Uddin Khan, 50, son of late Fakir Kha, hailing from Hudapara village of the upazila.

The injured are adentified as Alom Hossain, 50, Asif Iqbal, 22, Aminul Islam, 45, and Shajahan Ali, 70. They are now undergoing treatment at Pabna General Hospital.

Sujanagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Raushan Ali and Badruddoza , officer-in-charge (OC) of Sujanagar police station said the Rajshahi-bound  train of ‘Dhalarchar Express’ from Dhalarchar station in Bera upazial hit the brick-laden human hauler carrying the victims while it was crossing the railway line in the area at 8:30 am, leaving Dabir dead on the spot and five passengers of the vehicle injured.
