Two people were killed after a fish-laden truck rammed a rickshaw in Mandartala area of Gopalganj on Monday night.

One of the deceased was identified as Riajul Sheikh, 17, hailing from Parkushli village in Gopalganj sadar upazila.

Quoting locals, Md Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Gopalganj sadar police station, said the Dhaka-bound fish-laden truck from Bagerhat lost control and run over the rickshaw carrying the victims on Dhaka Khulna highway at 9:00 pm, leaving them dead on the spot.
