Authorities at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport fined Turkish Airlines Tk 3 lakh for bringing three passengers who did not have Covid-19 negative certificate.

The Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul landed at Dhaka airport on Wednesday afternoon had no Covid-19 negative certificate for the three-passengers who returned to Bangladesh from the USA with a stopover in Turkey.

Before leaving the United States, the three passengers were checked by a doctor and certified that they did not have any symptoms of coronavirus. But none of them underwent the scheduled PCR test for the Covid-19 test.

The Shahjalal International Airport authorities have so far fined 16 airlines Tk 30 lakh for transporting passengers without Covid-19 negative certificates.
