The preparation is underway to reopen academic institutions of the country through distribution of textbooks to the students of government primary schools.
Attending schools at the right time, the teachers are handing over books to their students. Receiving books of new classes, the learners are returning homes along with their guardians.People concerned are saying it as the preparation of school reopening so that the academic activities can be started in classrooms.
The distribution of new books to students began across the country on the first day of the New Year. But no book festival was held this year.
But Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina launched the distribution of textbooks virtually on December 31. All schools of the country began distribution activities the next day.
Talking to journalist, Director General of Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) AM Mansur Alam, said,” The preparation of reopening of schools has started through distribution of new books to the students. If the coronavirus situation improves to some extent, the classroom activities will begin, even if it is possible to hold partially. “
“The schools are being opened every day to handover books to all primary school students. The teachers are giving books to the pupils presenting at the institutions. Field level officials are also monitoring the activities,” he added.
