Leading online food and grocery delivery platform foodpanda has expanded its services to 64 districts across the country.
In December, 2020, foodpanda marked its 7th year of operations in Bangladesh and celebrates foodpanda’s growth, successes, and initiatives.
They have also helped grow Bangladesh’s gig economy and provided 55 thousand people with opportunities for earning income by signing up as delivery partners for the platform.
The expansion to all the districts of Bangladesh means this opportunity for earning income through doing deliveries is extended to the youth across the nation to help curb youth unemployment.
“As we expand nationwide, foodpanda is dedicated to keep improving our operational excellence and innovations so that we can keep providing users with an excellent delivery experience every single time”, Ambareen Reza, CEO of foodpanda Bangladesh said.
Ambareen Reza also said they will continue working closely with the restaurant, shop and rider partners to ensure an ecosystem that benefits the entire digital ecosystem in Bangladesh. ‘
“Although this pandemic has been very turbulent for the entire economy, we have ensured we fight through it together to come out stronger. By keeping our services open during the pandemic we have tried to help thousands of struggling restaurants as we went into lockdown” added Ambareen Reza. To celebrate the platform’s prevalence and expansion across 64 districts and its 7th anniversary, foodpanda has launched the 'Tap korlei panda hajir' campaign, which highlights the convenience foodpanda provides nationwide, delivering food and more to the users’ doorsteps at the tap of a button.
