The government has extended the tenure of Cabinet Secretary Khandakar Anwarul Islam for two more years through contractual appointment.

Earlier on December 11, 2019, the tenure of Khandakar Anwarul Islam was extended for one year.

Khandakar Anwarul Islam, an officer of BCS cadre of 1983 batch, was scheduled to go on Post Retirement Leave (PRL) on December 15, 2019.
