Ferry services on Shimulia-Banglabazar route resumed this morning after 10 hours of disruption due to dense fog.

Banglabazar Ghat Manager Salauddin Ahmed said the authority resumed the ferry services from 10 am after fog began to disappear.

Earlier around 12:10am, the authorities suspended ferry services following dense fog to avoid unwanted incidents, he added.

Several hundred vehicles, including buses, trucks and cars, remained stranded along with several thousand passengers on both sides.
