Inbound travellers cannot enter without Covid-19 certificate: CAAB

The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has made carrying PCR test Covid-19 negative certificates mandatory for the passengers of international flights coming to Bangladesh, aiming to contain the second wave of coronavirus.

In a circular issued on Friday, CAAB said the order will be effective from today (December 5), until further notice.

It also has provided 11 instructions for passengers flying into Bangladesh.

The notice signed by Group Captain Chy M Zia Ul Kabir, CAAB member (flight standards and regulations), mentioned, considering unrelenting risks of Covid-19 transmission, no scheduled international commercial passenger flights will be allowed to land at any airport in Bangladesh without Covid-19 negative certificates.

The CAAB, however, exempted children below the age of 10 years.
