Shahdara Mannan Shilpi, Member of Parliament from Bogura-2 constituency, has been hospitalised after contracting coronavirus.

Sahadara, a member of the standing committee of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, gave her sample for the Covid-19 test on Tuesday and the results came back positive for the virus later in the day, according to party sources.

Later, she was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU) in the capital on Wednesday night on the advice of doctor, it said.
