Women’s league: Kings secure 2-0 win over Nasrin SA

The star-studded outfit Bashundhara Kings secured another victory in the Tricotex 3rd Women’s Football League (WFL) as they beat Nasrin Sports Academy in their ninth match at Bir Sherestha Shaheed Shipahi Mostafa Kamal Stadium on Friday.

Defender Sheuli Azim opened the account for Kings in the 17th minute (1-0).  Just a few minutes before the half time, a suicidal own goal from Nasrin SA defender Unnoti Khatun doubled the margin for Kings and sealed the fate of the match in the 42nd minute (2-0).

With the day’s feat, the big-budgeted club Bashundhara Kings consolidated the top slot securing 27 points with the all-win record in nine matches while Nasrin SA reamined second with their previous credit of 21 points with seven wins and two defeats. 

Kings will play their next match against lowly Kumilla United at the same venue on Dec 1 at 12 pm.
