Thakurpukur cancer hospital saved life of a Bangladeshi girl

Thakurpukur cancer hospital in Kolkata has created a rare example of humanity  by saving life of a Bangladeshi girl.

Hailing from Khulna, 19-year old Rabeya and her mother went to the hospital as the former was about to die  for drinking acid.

Several hospitals in Bangladesh demanded much money for treatment of Rabeya who consumed acid following a family quarrel.

Finding no way out, the helpless mother went to the Thakurpukur Hospital seeking help.

The hospital authorities came forward on humanitarian ground.

Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre and Research Institute took only  Rs 2,270 for surgery which would cost Rs 5 lakh in other hospitals. The hospital located at Thakurpukur in Kolkata also provided treatment going beyond limit as Bangladeshi girl was not a cancer patient.
