Md Faridul Haque Khan Dulal, a ruling Awami League MP from Jamalpur-2 (Islampur), is expected to be sworn in as the state minister for the Religious Affairs Ministry on Tuesday evening.
President Abdul Hamid will administer the oath to Faridul Haque at around 7:00pm at Bangabhaban in the capital.
The post was vacant since death of Sheikh Md Abdullah, who died of Covid-19 and complications of old age at a Dhaka hospital on June 13.Faridul Haque Khan Dulal, nominated by Awami League, was elected as the MP from Jamalpur 2 constituency in the ninth, 10th and 11th parliamentary elections. He is the president of the Islampur upazila unit of Awami League.
