Imam dies while saying Fazr prayer in Brahmanbaria

An imam has breathed his last while saying Fazr prayer in Brahmanbaria on early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Mawlana Solaiman, 58, serving for 35 years as an imam of the traditional Madina Masjid in the municipal area. He was a resident of Gutigram under Bitghar union of Nabinagar upazila in the district.

Khadem (servent of the mosque) Mawlana Ohiduzzaman of the mosque confirming the matter said, the imam left the Mehrab as he felt short of breath while administering Fazr prayer. Then, he stood beside the devotees to say prayers but finally breathed his last.

The namaz-e-janaza of the deceased will be held in the Tenkerpar area of the town after Johr prayer and will be buried at the premises of Titaspara Jamia Islamia Sulaimania Madrasa which was founded by him, the Khadem added.
