Walton achieves 'Superbrand' recognition

Bangladesh's leading electronics brand Walton has been recognized as 'Superbrand' for 2020-2021.

Superbrands Bangladesh, a representative of London based Superbrands Worldwide, which is a global arbiter for brands and operates in 90 countries, announced Walton along with other 39 brands as Superbrands at a virtual award-giving ceremony on Thursday (19 November 2020).  

Salman Fazlur Rahman, private sector and investment adviser to the prime minister, was chief guest at the function.

The Superbrands publication for the next two years was also unveiled at the event. The signature publication, which shares stories of each Superbrand, is a coveted book for senior executives in advertising, marketing, brand management and the media.

Launched in 1994, Superbrands has become the most prominent symbol for success for brands.

The Superbrands are selected through a rigorous process involving independent and voluntary panels of experts from a range of backgrounds, known as the Brand Council.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Brand Forum General Manager and Executive Editor Sajid Mahbub handed over the trophy and certificate to Walton on behalf of Superbrands. Engineer Golam Murshed, Managing Director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited, received the trophy and certificate from him.

Speaking on the occasion, Golam Murshed said, Walton is now a Superbrand. Earlier on last year, Walton received the best brand award for sixth time. These success and recognitions are achieved for the trust, love, and support of innumerable customers and well-wishers of Walton. Now our target is to win the world by providing 'Made in Bangladesh' consumer electronics and technology products across the globe. We believe, with the support of our honorable customers, well-wishers and investors, Walton will be one of the top 5 brands in the world by 2030.
