After a long break due to the coronavirus epidemic, the US embassy in Dhaka has started receiving applications for student visa.

The US embassy disclosed the information in a press release on Friday.

According to the release, students who applied for visa categories F (Academic and Language), M (Vocational) and J (Exchange Visitors) for the first time, will be called for an interview and received their application from November 15.

The interview will be limited due to the coronavirus. It may take six weeks for visa processing, it said.

It further informed that the applicants will have to update their profile in their designated website.

The submitted application fees (MRV) will remain valid until the regular visa service activities are resumed.

Using the fees, applicants can take time for the interview till December 31, 2021.
