One hundred physicians have died of coronavirus or Covid-19 so far in Bangladesh, reveals media report on Saturday.
The first death of a doctor in the country was reported on April 14 while the last death was learnt on Thursday (October 29).Physician Selim Ahmed, also a freedom fighter, died of Covid-19 while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital on Thursday.
Based on information of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA), Dr Selim Ahmed was a member of the central executive council of BMA in 1997-98. He spent long time in Iran. Later he returned to home and treated patients.
