Application begins for primary recruitment test

The application process for the recruitment test of teachers in government primary schools began on Sunday (today). 

Prospective applicants will get time till November 24 midnight.

The recruitment exam will be held within 60 days after completion of application period.

According to the circular, applicants having second class or equivalent CGPA in Bachelor's or Honours or equivalent degree in any subject from any recognised university are eligible candidate.

The application fee has been fixed at Tk 110. The age limit of the applicants is minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years on March 25, 2020.

The age limit is 32 years for the candidates who are the children of freedom fighters as well as physically challenged ones.

According to the Department of Education (DPE), the exam date will be notified with 60 days after the month-long application period ends. The recruitment test will be held within June 2021 after completion of the written test.

This year, a total of 32,500 teachers will be appointed in primary schools. But the number may rise if there is increased number of vacant posts.   

But applicants from three hill districts of Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Bandarban are not eligible this time for application. Their recruitment test will be held separately.
