Acting president of Awami League’s Nandigram upazila unit of Bogura Anwar Hossain Rana and his wife Akila Sarifa Sultana Khanam have been sent to jail in a case filed by his mother-in-law for embezzling Tk 100 crore on Sunday noon.

Mentionable, Delwara Begum filed a complaint against five people including son-in-law Rana for embezzling Tk 100 crore on October 1.

The three other accused in the case are Nazrul Islam, Hafizar Rahman and Rana's assistant Touhidul Islam.
