Khasru visits puja mandaps in Netrakona

State minister for Social Welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru MP on Saturday visited different Puja Mandaps in the district.

During the visit, the state minister talked to the devotees and leaders of district Puja Udjapan Parishad (PUP) and exchanged greetings on the occasion of their most sacred festival.

Talking to the worshipers and PUP leaders, Khasru said, during the regime of the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh has become an unique example of a land of communal harmony in the world where the people of all faiths and religions have been living together peacefully and performing their rituals independently .

District PUP leaders informed the state minister that the festival is being celebrated in 493 puja pandels this year across the district with traditional enthusiasm and festivity maintaining health safety guidelines and othere rules, set by the government in the wake of COVID- 19 pandemic.

The leaders also informed him that a peaceful atmosphere is prevailing in the district as administration has taken foolproof security arrangement for maintaining law and order and ensuring security to the devotees and visitors in and around all puja mandaps

Leaders of district Awami League and its front organizations accompanied the state minister during his visit.
