Alamgir Muhammed Mansurul Alam, additional secretary to the primary and mass education ministry, has been appointed director general of Directorate of Primary Education.

Ministry of Public Administration issued an order as to the appointment on Monday.

Hailing from Chattogram, Alamgir joined government service under BCS 1986 administration cadre.

He has replaced Md Fosiullah who went on post retirement leave (PRL) on September 14.
