Internet service providers and cable operators have agreed to provide their services instead of shutdown following a deal with Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) on Sunday.
The Internet Service Providers Association of Bangladesh (ISPAB) and The Cable Operators Association of Bangladesh (COAB) took the decision after a meeting with the Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh.The meeting was held at Nagar Bhaban on Sunday noon.
Meeting sources said no drive will be conducted at this moment in removing overhead cables. People concerned will take connections at own costs under the ground.
In the meeting, ISPAB president MA Hakim said, “We will start working to make connections under the ground. Hope, we would be able to work this task within November.”
