The Walton Smart Freeze-DRU Media Cup Football Tournament, organised by Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU), begins today at Shaheed (Capt) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the capital.

Bangladesh Pratidin will face Ekattor TV in the opener at 8:30am, Kaler Kantho will play against  Ekushey TV in the day’s another match at 11:00am. Daily Sun will take on Jugantor at the same venue on Monday at 11:00am.

A total of 48 teams from different media houses will compete in the meet, DRU Sports Secretary M Mojibur Rahman confirmed The Daily Sun on Saturday. “The event was scheduled to be held on March 19, but DRU postponed it due to pandemic outbreak countrywide,” he added.
