Khulna DC asks people including mosque goers to maintain health guidelines

The deputy commissioner (DC) of Khulna asked common people and those (Muslim devotees) go to mosques for offering prayers to wear masks along with maintaining health guidelines.

Issuing a letter on Thursday, Mohammad Helal Hossain, DC of Khulna, said   coronavirus or Covid-19 pandemic is still prevalent.

Infections and deaths from coronavirus are continuing in Bangladesh. The infection from Covid-19 may rise in the upcoming winter. Though mask wearing is mandatory as per the government instruction, most of the people in different places, including mosques, are violating the order.

Even people are not following the health guidelines amid the pandemic.

As a result, it is being apprehended that Covid -19 infection rate will increase further in the country.

The DC of Khulna today sent letters to all upazila parishad chairmen, UNOs, Islamic Foundation’s director and president and Imam Parishad’s chairman and secretary requesting them to maintain health guidelines properly.
