President M Abdul Hamid on Sunday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Bangladesh Government’s chief legal adviser Attorney General (AG) Mahbubey Alam.
In a condolence message, the President said Mahbubey Alam had shown extraordinary skill in handling the different cases, including Bangabandhu murder and crimes against humanity ones.“He was a front-fighter in establishing the rule of law . . . His death is an irreparable loss to the country,” he said.
The head of the state also conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
