With a motto of creating a green world for the next generation Katiadi Raktadan Samity planted trees in Kishoreganj’s Katiadi Upazilla Health Complex on Friday.
As a part of the month-long tree plantation programme the voluntary organisation organised the function where Upazilla Health and Family Welfare officer Dr Tanvir Hasan, health inspector Mojibur Rahman, Sanitary Inspector Sajim Uddin, Accountant Omar Faruk Khan, film activist Jisan Azad, student leader Sakibul Hasan Shohag, social activist Hasan Mahmud Ataur, Ashrafizur Rahman Ridoy, AKM Mushfiqur Rahman Robin and Md Azim were present.Katiadi Raktadan Samity’s founder Badrul Alam Nayeem coordinated the programme.
Earlier, the samity planted trees in Katiadi Government College, Munshi Abdul Hekim Technical College, Katiadi Government High School, Upazilla Primary Teacher Association office, Lohajuri Union High School and College, Boalia Tahera Nur High School and College, Achmita George Institution, Korgaon Union High School, Chatal Baghhata School and College, Hazera Sultan High School, Rais Mahmud High School, Batta Haor Police Investigation Centre, Mumurdia Union Council, Betal Imam Bokhari Kaumi Madrasa, Jalalpur Union’s South Charpukkhia, Mumurdia Union’s North and South Mumurdia, Lohajuri Union’s North and South Lohajuri, Purba Char Paratola, Terogati, Chatal Baghhata, Kurikhai, Baghber, Chandpur, Bhangnadi, Charia, Korgaon Union’s Bhuna, Mamudpur, Pachalipara, and Lahund.
Katiadi Raktadan Samity has set a target of planting 5000 fruit, herbal and forest trees this season.
The voluntary organisation plants thousands of trees every year. It is mentionable that as a part of forest department’s tree plantation programme Katiadi Upazilla Administration allocated 3000 tree plants to Katiadi Raktadan Samity on the occasion of Mujib Barsha.
