Religious harmony exists in Chattogram hill tracts : Bir Bahadur

Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing said on Friday Chattogram Hill Tracts is a unique example of religious harmony.

“One can smoothly practice one’s religion maintaining religious harmony here. All religious leaders are playing important roles in maintaining the age-old religious harmony,” he said.

The minister said this while inaugurating the Amtali Jame Mosque adjacent to the Red Bridge at Bandarban Sadar upazila.

Amtali Jame Samjid has been constructed at a cost of Taka 45 lakh with the funding of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shafiul Alam, Additional Superintendent of Police Reza Sarwar, Municipal Mayor Mohammad Islam Baby and Sadar Upazila Chairman Mohammad Jahangir were present on the occasion.
