The High Court has summoned Nayeb Subedar Md Shahab Uddin at Jaintapur BGB camp under Sylhet for implicating a fourth-grader in cattle theft case.
Nayeb Subedar will have to appear on October 7 before the court and explain reasons for implicating a fourth-grader showing him to be 19-years-old.On September 13, BGB members detained 20 buffaloes which were bought by Saidul Islam of Khilatail area in Jaintapur, also one of writ petitioners.
The Nayeb Subedar filed a case with Jaintapur Police Station against 17 people including Saidul and his family members and relatives for lifting buffaloes and preventing BGB men from discharging their duties.
The accused recently filed the petition with the High Court seeking anticipatory bail in the case.
A division bench comprising Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman granted anticipatory bail for eight weeks to 10 accused, including the minor boy.
The apex court thinks the class four student of Shikhon School run by Brack may be 12. The court directed the authorities concerned to produce the boy on the day Nayeb Subedar appears.
Advocate Md Jahangir Hossain appeared for the petitioners.
