Prof Askari attends int'l conf on gender studies

Prof Dr Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari, former Vice Chancellor of Islamic University in Kushtia and a teacher of English Department, joined an international conference on gender studies.

Speaking on plenary session, Dr. Rashid Askari focused on psychological abuse against women and legal redress.

He presented a paper titled “Psychological abuse against women and judicial relief'” on the third day.

“It was a very interactive session and I found it quite enthralling. A wide variety of subjects on Gender Studies presented by an impressive line-up of speakers has made the conference extremely revealing,” he said.

Cape Comorin Trust and Lavender Literary Club, India in collaboration with Al Maarif University College, Iraq, Department of Folklore of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Bangladesh, Department of English Language and Literature of University of Creative Technology, Bangladesh and Khurasan University, Afghanistan, Faculty of Social Science and Department of English language and literature; Great Imam College, Iraq, Department of Religion Basics in association with Cap Comorin Publishers, India organised the virtual conference.

Starting on Thursday, the virtual conference got renowned panel discussants and attracted huge visitors through virtual platform closing its curtain on Saturday.

About hundreds of scholars from different universities and colleges of India, Bangladesh, Iraq and Afghanistan participated in the conference.
