Shefali Biswas, mother of prominent actress Apu Biswas, passed away at a hospital in the capital early Friday.

She breathed her last at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Labaid Hospital in Dhaka around 1:37 am while undergoing treatment.

Sajal, close aid of the actress, confirmed this information to media.

Shefali left behind a son, three daughters and a host of well wishers to mourn her death.
